Sacramone qualified for the World Cup Final as a wild card after placing first on vault at the Pacific Alliance and second at the World Cup in Ghent. She went on to win the vault gold medal at the World Cup Final ahead of the reigning Olympic gold and bronze medalists. She went on to become the U.S. National Champion on Vault and Floor Exercise in 2005. She was also named USA Gymnastics' Sportswoman of the Year in 2005. Sacramone is the daughter of Fred, an orthodontist, and Gail, a salon owner.She has one older brother named Jonathan (10/17/82).Her favorite school subject is science and she enjoys books by J.K. Rowling.Her favorite singers are Britney Spears and Leann Rimes.She hopes to someday study international relations. She would like to go to college and pursue a career in business and/or fashion design. She says her parents are her role models because they have taught her that hard work brings rewards.
