Page 10- OUR 11-16 AGE GROUPS MEDAL WINNERS, PLUS FANTASTIC PHOTOS OF OUR FINAL MIXED PAIRS!
One of the final contendors of the day, and what a finale, as King Edmund’s Kaman Mitchell and Tasha Lawrence had the crowd cheering every lift , balance and tumble as the first day of competition reached a terrific finale, as the Great Britain gymnasts gave a fabulous performance. Kaman and Tasha represented Great Britain at the European Age Group Tournament in 2006 and these photos demonstrate the grace and artistry of Mixed Pairs perfectly as the Judges awarded them a well deserved score of 28.500. As the crowd settled down, there was a buzz of anticipation for the Presentations and the fantastic standard of Acrobatics throughout the first day.
Kurgan from Russia told Gymnastics Online “This competition has the best level outside the worlds and Europeans it is one of the best we have ever been to and we have done a few over the years!!” As the dynamics of the Sport change across Great Britain, it should be remembered that in the last 4 months, competitors from Belarus, the USA, Russia, Belgium, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary and Lithuania have all travelled to compete in 2 major competitions in Fenton Manor and Bristol. This demonstrates the terrific reputation of British Acrobatics and the great efforts of our Coaches, Clubs, Judges, Volunteers and of course the gymnasts themselves!
