Joy for Horsham as Kieran & Lee win British Mens Pairs Title!
A stunning performance from Kaman Mitchell and Tasha Lawrence brought the British 11-16 Mixed Pairs Title back to King Edmunds as the GB Internationals captivated the audience with a thrilling display. Their Balance routine demonstrated great artistry and a score of 28.30 put them 0.55 ahead, and their tempo earned a well deserved 27.45 and a total of 55.75 to lead the Championships by 1.20 and take the British Titles home to Bristol.
There was also medal joy for Horsham as Lee and Kieran Baker who competed in Grade 4 at the British Tournament, won their first British 11-16 Mens Pairs Title. The competition saw former Mens Four European Age Group Silver Medalist Alex Houston with new partner Tim Pritchard from Deerness lead after the Balance routine by just one tenth of a point scoring 27.90 with Kieran and Lee in second place. But the Horsham pair produced a fantastic tempo to score 28.30 and a total of 56.10 to earn the Gold medals with Alex and Tim taking Silver. King Edmunds were not to be denied a podium finish as Barnaby Lwellyn and Danny Bates won bronze with 54.75.
