Deerness Valley win 11-16 Womens Pairs British Championships plus Silver for Paris and Roisin!
A terrific performance from Deerness Valley saw one of Britain’s top Acrobatics Clubs claim a remarkable 5 British Titles plus 4 Silver and 1 bronze medal at the 2007 British Championships. In the 11-16 Womens Pairs, Hannah Bevens and Jasmine Danby won the British Title in a dramatic competition after Spelthorne’s Paris Lever and Roisin Evans produced a beautiful balance routine to lead with 28.65 and Deerness pair Kezia Ross and Lauren Drinkald in second place. An unsucessful appeal was made against a disallowed element in the Spelthorne girls’ tempo which unexpectedly reduced their score to 27.20. Hannah and Jasmine produced a great routine to capture the British Title with 56.15, with Spelthorne winning Silver on 55.850. Harefield’s Rachel Prest and Poppy Spalding finished just outside the top five with good expressive interpretation of the music in a routine perfectly choreographed to compliment the girls strong dance skills.
Don’t miss some great photos of the Oxford Womens Group and their reactions as they see their scores and realise that their dreams of becoming British Champions are within reach. Plus great action from the Womens Groups Finals! All photos on this page are copyright of Cherry-Ann Ballantyne and must not be copied or reproduced in any way.
