BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS - BECKY DOWNIE WINS 2ND ESPOIRES TITLE
Becky Downie won her second successive British Espoires Title in Guildford this afternoon scoring 34.825. Notts made it a treble celebration when Club mates Laura Jones won Silver with 33.925 and Jordan Lipton finished 5th with 31.250. Abi Kirby from City of Liverpool won bronze with 33.275, and Hannah Whelan from Vernon Park was 4th scoring 31.700. Congratulations to Becky, Laura and Abi!
On a sad note, Ashleigh Ivy Macfarlane from Bristol Hawks was injured during her warm up and may have a torn achilles. Also Becky Wing from Heathrow last year’s Silver All Around medallist, fractured her foot just 2 days before British but was still there to cheer her team mates on. Get well soon girls.
