		BRITISH COMPULSORY LEVEL 4 & 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS 2005 A fantastic British Championships was held this weekend in Birmingham where Great Britain’s Regional Champions battled it out for the British Level 4 & 3 National Championships. The U.K’s best 9 and 10 year old gymnasts had already won their Regional Championships and were now representing their Region in the British Team Finals, as well as competing for the All Around Individual British Titles. The audience and gymnasts created a great atmosphere, particularly the supporters from the North West, Wales and the South West who gave fantastic encouragement to their teams. Congratulations to all the gymnasts and coaches on an excellent Championships and a very high standard of gymnastics. More photos will be added in the next few days, but tonight just hours after the competition, the whole world can see some of our new British Champions! NORTH WEST CAPTURE TEAM GOLD, WALES WIN SILVER

A fantastic performance from the North West team saw them win the British Level 3 Compulsory Team Championship for girls born in 1995 this afternoon. Nicole Watson won the Individual All Around British Level 3 Championships with a score of 46.325, finishing 2nd on Beam, Floor and R&C, and 4th on Vault. Nicole performed brilliantly and finished 0.725 ahead of Lizzie Beddow from Wales who won Silver, and City of Liverpool’s Georgina Parlington winning bronze.

Three of the North West Team finished in the top 5, with Amy Taylor in 8th position giving a Team Total of 137.950 taking the Gold home to the North West. The team consisting of Nicole Watson and Amy Taylor from Sandbach, Anna Stubbs from Padgate, and Kathryn Ellor from Blackpool Gym Club. The team had great support including 30 parents and 10 children who travelled from Blackpool with their own group of Cheerleaders to support Kathryn and her team mates. They were rewarded with a fifth position for Kathryn who was just behind team mate Anna Stubbs in 4th position.

The Welsh Team had a great competition, following their success at last weekend’s British Club meet, with Lizzie Beddow winning Beam and Floor plus third position on Range and Conditioning. Georgina Parlington from City of Liverpool finished 3rd overall with a great performance on beam, after ranking 1st in National Testing. She is coached by Aisling Wiliam’s father who was very pleased with Georgie’s performance. It was also nice to see Aisling at the Championships cheering on the younger gymnasts despite still being on crutches, and Imogen Cairns from The Academy.
