BRITISH COMPULSORY LEVEL 4 CHAMPIONSHIPS 2005
An amazing performance from Niamh Ryan from Sapphire Gym Club helped East win the British Championships Level 3 Team Title and Niamh became the new British Level 3 Compulsory Champion. She had a terrific competition winning 4 out of the 5 pieces and the highest score of the Championships with a 9.725 on Beam. Amy Matthews from South East won the Silver medal in the All Around Event finishing second on vault and beam and joint third on bars. Wales followed up on their success last weekend at the British Club Grades with a great third place for Venus Romaeo from Cardiff Central who won Bars by 0.475. Team mate Lisa Brown from Llanelli came 5th scoring 33.325, with Alex Smith from Scotland in 4th place.
The East won the British Level Four Compulsory Team Title for 2005 for gymnasts born in 1996, with a score of 135.125, with Wales second and South East third. The East also won the Rosebowl Title for 2005 which adds the scores from last weekend’s British Club Grades to this Championships making it an amazing SIX titles in 9 days for the Eastern Region! Congratulations to Team Manager Suzanne McLean from Bury Spectrum and to the Eastern teams and coaches on this fantastic achievement.
