ACROBATIC GYMNASTICS AND TUMBLING NDP NATIONAL FINALS 2006
FENTON MANOR, STOKE-ON-TRENT
13 & 14 MAY 2006
The program notes said it all! The biggest NDP Finals ever over 2 day’s of competition with 194 Tumbler’s and 434 Floor Acrobat’s representing 96 Gymnastics Clubs, 13 Regions and competitors from England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales!
Many Club’s were at NDP Final’s for the first time and how good it is to see so many new Clubs competing at National Level for the first time illustrating the tremendous growth in popularity of Sports Acrobatics and Tumbling in Great Britain.
Every single young person who was competing at NDP’s was already a Champion after being successful in the Regional Preliminaries and now fighting for the National Titles in their Grades.
NDP6 was the first National Final in the New National Development Plan and is designed to include all performers and coaches in one unified plan, giving access to all levels and age combinations according to their ability.
And the inclusion of the terrific competitors from the Cheshire Academy in the Wheelchair events were both moving and inspiring as the routines were beautifully presented by the Acrobat’s winning huge applause and cheers from everyone who had the privilidge of seeing these very special athletes.
Congratulations to every single competitor who medal or not deserved their place in the National Finals and made everyone very proud of their great performances!
And we are proud to bring you photos of some of the NDP Medalist’s from a terrific weekend’s gymnastics as the very first NDP6 National Title Winners were decided! All photos are copyright of Gymnastics Online.
