Anthony Middleton and Amy Laycock’s final performance as a Mixed Pair before Anthony moves to London to study dance was a fitting tribute to their fabulous achievements on the International stage where they have proudly represented Great Britain around the World. A dramatic routine with superb choreography deservedly won Gold in the Junior Mixed Pairs scoring 28.55 and a fitting final Podium triumph for the Wakefield Pair.
The bravest performance of the Tournament came from Belgian Mixed Pair Nik De Roeck and Amber Van Wijk from APG - Art Gym when Amber fell forward on a release and smacked her nose on the floor. It was feared that she had broken her nose but fortunately this was not the case, and Nik and Amber returned to compete in the Junior Mixed Pairs Final on Sunday where they won bronze to the delight of the audience.
