Quote from Claire Wright from Great Britain on winning the Bronze Medal in the Women’s Individual World Cup Trampoline Finals!:
Claire Wright: “I’m really, really, happy and quite glad its over to be honest. I’ve been doing a lot better in training but I guess all the pressure of competing might have made a slight difference. It’s only the 2nd time I've competed with this routine but I’m really happy that I did it. I’ve got a break now so I’m going off skiing with my parents, then I’ll start preparing for the World Cups in America and China next year.
I’m so glad its over; there’s been a lot of preparation. I’ve never been to a stadium this good for a trampolining event. All the gymnasts from all countries were nervous being in such an arena. The crowd were fantastic and gave me some great support.”
Quotes from the gymnasts on the Women’s Synchro World Cup Finals:
Anna Doganadze from Germany said: “I think that we can improve but overall I am very pleased with our performance.”
Jessica Simon (GER) added: “We were very nervous because it is a World Cup Final but we were really happy with the result.”
Olena Movchan from Ukraine said:“I am not happy with my performance but I think that my synchro partner performed very well. I think the organisation of this event has been great and I really like Birmingham.”
Hiromi HANMOTO from Japan said: “We are very pleased with the result and we have enjoyed our stay in Birmingham, especially the shopping! “We will be competing next in April and so in the mean time we will head back to Japan to prepare.”
Claire Wright from Great Britain who came fourth said: “This is our first year of doing synchro together so we are pleased with our performance.”
